Organizer of annual Klutznick-Harris Symposium: Fifteenth Annual Symposium, titled “Food and Judaism,” took place on October 27 and 28, 2002.  Sixteenth Annual Symposium, on Jews of Eastern Europe, will take place on September 14 and 15, 2003.  The Midwest Jewish Studies Association will hold its annual Conference in Omaha, in conjunction with this Symposium.

 

Primary editor of the Studies in Jewish Civilization series, which publishes an expanded proceedings volume of each Klutznick-Harris Symposium

 

Editor of the book of Joshua for the Biblia Hebraica Quinta (BHQ) project, involving a thorough re-editing of the basic manuscript for the Hebrew Bible

 

Translator of the Book of Joshua for NETS, the New English Translation of the Septuagint

 

Author of a column, “The Bible in the News,” which appears in each issue of Bible Review (six issues annually)
